Early Life and Education

Jenna von Oy was born in 1977 in Danbury, Connecticut, to parents Frank von Oy and Gloria von Oy. She attended Newtown High School, where she began her acting career by participating in regional stage productions and appearing in television commercials.

Television Career Beginnings

Von Oy made her television debut in 1986 with a role in the ABC Weekend Special. She subsequently appeared in guest roles on Kate & Allie and Tales from the Darkside. From 1990 to 1991, she co-starred in the short-lived CBS sitcom Lenny.

Breakthrough Role in Blossom

From 1990 to 1995, Jenna von Oy gained wide recognition for her role as the fast-talking Six LeMeure on the NBC sitcom Blossom. Her performance in this series became a defining moment in her early career.

Post-Blossom and Higher Education

After Blossom ended, von Oy briefly enrolled at the University of Southern California's School of Cinematic Arts. During her time there, she was an active member of the Kappa Alpha Theta sorority. She attended for two years before leaving the university to continue her acting career.
