Jillian Marie Barberie is an American television hostess, sportscaster, radio presenter, and actress born in Canada.
She was a co-host on Fox owned-and-operated station KTTV's renowned Los Angeles television morning news and entertainment program Good Day L.A. from 1995 to 2012. She also worked for Fox Sports as the weather host for Fox NFL Sunday from 2000 to 2005.
Born in 1966 on September 26, in Burlington, Ontario, Jillian Barberie was adopted immediately after her birth. She studied at the Mohawk College in Hamilton and received a diploma in broadcast journalism. She married former Baseball player Bret Barberie in the year 1996. They divorced in 2002. In the year 2006, she married actor and former Marine sniper Grant Reynolds. Though she legally changed her name to Reynolds, she kept her professional surname as Barberie. From 2009, she started using Reynolds as her professional name. They have two children, Ruby Raven Reynolds and Rocco Rio Reynolds. In March 2013, Jillian Reynolds announced that she was separating from her husband, Grant Reynolds. She, however, sought sole custody of her two children.
Barberie has appeared in several television shows, including Clueless, V.I.P., Melrose Place, and various comedies on CBS's Yes, Dear and Fox's MADtv. She was the host of the reality show EX-treme Dating, which aired on NBC. In 2000, she was appointed to host the Fox Sports Fox NFL Sunday pre-game show's national weather segment with James Brown, Howie Long, and Terry Bradshaw. She became a national icon due to her scratchy gravel-laced voice and friendly "one of the guys" on-camera manner, garnering significant fan attention in the male-dominated sports demographic and multiple Prestone antifreeze commercials that aired during NFL game broadcasts.
Barberie also worked on the national version of Good Day Live and her work on Good Day L.A. However, she was sacked from that show on June 4, 2004, bringing her tenure to an end.
During the 2002 Super Bowl, the 2005 Super Bowl, and the 2008 Super Bowl, she worked for Fox Sports as a weather lady and entertainment reporter. Regis Philbin's New Year's Eve program on Fox in 2005 featured her as a co-host. She has twice graced the cover of Maxim magazine. She competed in the Fox reality television series Skating with Celebrities in 2006, partnering with professional skater John Zimmerman and placing second. She used to be an ice skater when she was younger. She began co-hosting KTTV's That's So Hollywood with fellow KTTV/KCOP-TV celebrity Mark Thompson in November 2006.
Barberie is a former NutriSystem representative who has appeared in advertisements alongside Dan Marino and Terry Bradshaw, both former NFL players.
Barberie also hosted American Idol Extra on Fox Reality Channel in March 2009. She spoke with the week's evicted Idol as well as other guests on the show. She co-starred in the Fox Reality Channel original series Househusbands of Hollywood with her then-husband, Grant Reynolds.
She co-hosted Midday Live with John Phillips on 790 KABC in Los Angeles from 12:00 pm to 3:00 pm starting in February 2014. After Doug McIntyre's retirement, the show was relocated from midday to 3:00 pm, 6:00 pm, and eventually mornings for the next six years. KABC shifted John Phillips back to middays in December 2019 but did not renew Barberie's contract. She was also the host of KTLA's short-lived entertainment show Hollywood Mix.
