Josh Radnor was born in Columbus, Ohio, to Carol Radnor, a high school guidance counselor, and Alan Radnor, a medical malpractice lawyer. He has two sisters, Joanna Radnor Vilensky and Melanie Radnor. Raised in the suburb of Bexley, Ohio, Radnor grew up in a Conservative Jewish household and attended an Orthodox Jewish day school during his early education.
