Lauren Cohan is a 33 years old professional American-born but British <a href="/biography/lauren-cohan">actress</a>. She was born on the 7th of January back in 1982. Her home town is Cherry Hill, which is located in the state of New Jersey in the United States of America. A hot, charming and extremely gifted actress, Lauren is best known for her roles in The Walking Dead as well as on Supernatural, <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Chuck_(TV_series)">Chuck</a> and The Vampire Diaries, all of which are extremely popular and hit series.

Early life and education

Lauren is the <a href="/biography/lauren-cohan">child</a> of an American father and a British mother. Interestingly enough, she has Irish, Norwegian as well as Scottish ancestry. There was a controversy going on regarding her place of birth. Some people stated that she was born in Philadelphia in the state of Pennsylvania but she disclaimed those rumors in an interview, stating that she was born in the town of Cherry Hill which is located in the state of New Jersey.

She was raised in her birth town and she stayed there until she was 13 when she moved to the United Kingdom. She and her family settled in the town of Surrey. This is not her birth family name because she had adopted it back when her mother remarried. She also converted to another religion – Judaism when she was 5 years old. She attended and graduated from the University of Winchester and got her Bachelor’s degree in Drama as well as in English Literature.

Professional career

Lauren had her film debut playing the role of Sister Beatrice in the movie Casanova. She also starred in the production of Van Wilder, Van Wilder: The Rise of Taj and she impersonated the character of Charlotte Higginson. This took part back in 2006 and she also has a few other film appearances in Death Race 2 where she worked alongside Hollywood’s famous <a href="/biography/sean-bean">Sean Bean</a>.

However, television is really her strong suit. She was on season three of the incredibly popular and hit TV series Supernatural where she played the role of <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bela_Talbot">Bela Talbot</a>. She had to impersonate a skilled and charming thief in a supernatural world. However, her most famous role remains <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Maggie_Greene">Maggie Greene</a> on the series The Walking Dead. She played through the entire second season of the show.

Cohan has a dual citizenship of both the United States of America and the United Kingdom. There are a lot of rumors surrounding her personal life and there is no information regarding whether or not she got married.
