Leigh-Allyn Baker is an American actress known for both her live-action roles and voice work. She gained early recognition with the recurring role of Hannah Webster on the supernatural drama Charmed, and as Ellen, a close friend of Grace Adler (played by Debra Messing), on the acclaimed sitcom Will & Grace. She also voiced the character Abby on the Nickelodeon animated series Back at the Barnyard.
In addition to television, Baker lent her voice to various video games, including entries in the X-Men and Star Trek franchises. She also voiced Lu Zhi in the 2010 game Age of Conan: Rise of the Godslayer. Guest appearances on shows such as That '70s Show, Yes, Dear, and Early Edition further expanded her television resume.
Baker became a household name with her starring role as Amy Duncan, the energetic and comedic matriarch in the Disney Channel sitcom Good Luck Charlie. The series aired from 2010 to 2014 and was celebrated for its family-oriented humor and relatable storylines. She reprised the same role in the Disney Channel Original Movie Good Luck Charlie, It’s Christmas.
In 2015, Baker starred in and produced the Disney Channel Original Movie Bad Hair Day. She portrayed Liz Morgan, an unlucky police officer who teams up with a high school senior, played by Laura Marano, to retrieve a priceless necklace. As both lead actress and executive producer, Baker emphasized her desire to be creatively involved behind the scenes and help bring stronger adult female leads to family programming. She expressed that producing gave her the opportunity to help shape a vision from concept to screen—a role she found empowering.
In 2008, Baker took on a recurring role as Mickey, a lively morning show host, in several episodes of the popular Disney Channel series Hannah Montana. She also made a guest appearance on the sketch comedy series So Random!, where she was featured alongside Mia Talerico, her young co-star from Good Luck Charlie.
Leigh-Allyn Baker resides in Murray, Kentucky, with her husband Keith James Kauffman, an entertainment executive. Together, they have two sons: Griffin, born in 2009, and Baker James, born in 2012. Remarkably, in both of her pregnancies, ultrasound results initially suggested she was expecting daughters, but both times she gave birth to boys. While she had hoped for a daughter, she later appreciated that having two sons would foster a strong sibling bond.
Baker’s first television appearance was in the 1996 episode “Midseason Night's Comedy” of the sitcom Almost Perfect, where she played a character named Gina. Over the years, she has built a solid reputation in both live-action and animated roles, earning wide recognition primarily for her performances as Ellen in Will & Grace and Amy Duncan in Good Luck Charlie.
