Early Life and Education:

Mayanti Langer is an Indian <a href="/biography/mayanti-langer">journalist</a> and one of the highest paid female sports journalists in India. Langer was born on February 1985 in Delhi, India to Lt. General Sanjiv Langer, and mother, Preminda Langer. Lt. General Rajinder Nath Batra and Mrs. Priyo Batra are her grandparents. She moved to the United States with her family because of her father's job with the United Nations.  Langer later returned to her homeland of India where she finished school and aspired to be a Graphic Designer.

Mayanti Langer then attended Hindu College, University of Delhi and successfully completed her <a href="https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Bachelor_of_Arts">B.A</a> (Hons). She was an avid <a href="/biography/mayanti-langer">sports fan</a> as a child and trained at the Super Soccer Academy, Delhi. After an experiment as a guest anchor for a broadcast of "FIFA Beach Football" after her graduation, Langer decided to be an anchor.
