Mayanti Langer is an Indian journalist and one of the highest paid female sports journalists in India. Langer was born on February 1985 in Delhi, India to Lt. General Sanjiv Langer, and mother, Preminda Langer. Lt. General Rajinder Nath Batra and Mrs. Priyo Batra are her grandparents. She moved to the United States with her family because of her father's job with the United Nations.  Langer later returned to her homeland of India where she finished school and aspired to be a Graphic Designer. 

Mayanti Langer then attended Hindu College, University of Delhi and successfully completed her B.A (Hons). She was an avid sports fan as a child and trained at the Super Soccer Academy, Delhi. After an experiment as a guest anchor for a broadcast of "FIFA Beach Football" after her graduation, Langer decided to be an anchor.

Media career:

With the success of the FIFA broadcast, she was offered a spot as host and associate producer for Football Cafe on Zee Sports. Langer has been an active personality in the industry since 2006 and has a net worth of INR 6 crore ($823,890.00). 

She had been a part of the football team during college and learned a lot during this time from her coach, Keshav Dutt. After being selected as the guest anchor of the Fifa beach football game she was chosen to host and associate produce a show called Football Cafe on Zee Sports Network. Zee Sports Network had first heard of Langer through the Indian Youth Soccer Association (IYSA), a league in Dehli.

Langer also then worked for various football related shows on the Zee Sports Network. She provided commentary and conducted interviews during the pre-match, half-time, and post-match shows. Langer started her role with Football Cafe just a few weeks after her college graduation kicking off her career very strong right away. Langer went on to serve as the anchor on Zee Sports Network for the Nehru Cup football tournament which was held in New Dehli at the Ambedkar Stadium. She also served as an anchor for Zee Sports Network’s coverage of the Indian Cricket League.

In 2010, Langer was a host in the FIFA World Cup broadcast in India, on ESPN which includes a pre-match, half-match and post-match analysis. She headed a team of expert panelists alongside John Dykes for that show. Mayanti Langer also hosted 2010 Commonwealth Games held at Delhi along with Charu Sharma and 2011 Cricket World Cup held in India. She also hosted India vs South Africa Cricket test series in 2013 December in Ten Sports. She also hosted a sports news show Star Power on Star Sports One. In addition, she also hosted the Champions League Cricket tournament and Indian Super League Football tournament TV broadcasts in 2014. She was also an anchor for Cricket World Cup 2015 for Star Sports.

Langer's height is around 5.5' feet and her horoscope is Aquarius. Nevertheless, the brown-eyed beauty is also well known for her charming smile, beautiful long black hair, and an athletic figure. Of course, Langer has a sharp personality but she is also very easy on the eyes giving her a perfect combination for television.
