Mollie King is an English singer-songwriter, television presenter, and model who was born on June 4, 1987, in Wandsworth, London, England. She is the daughter of Susan and Stephen King who had two other daughters named Ellen and Laura. Her full name is Mollie Elizabeth King and she attended Surbiton High School in Kingston-upon-Thames, London. King was a talented skier as a young girl and was on the Surbiton High Ski team with fellow student Chemmy Alcott. She had a successful ski career by age eleven and was a member of the British Children's Ski Team. King earned a scholarship to the British Ski Academy for her talent and skill. She also went on to ski for the British Alpine squad although she gave up her ski career in favor of becoming a singer. King joined the all-girl group "The Saturdays" in 2007. The group has had thirteen Top 10 hits and four Top 10 albums. Their success followed the group's debut single "If This Is Love" in July of 2008. The group's first single reached number eight in the UK.
King participated on the show "The X Factor" as part of another girl group called "Fallen Angelz". She was announced as a contestant on August 7, 2017, for the year's series of BBC's "Strictly Come Dancing" with AJ Pritchard but she was eliminated in the semi-final. In 2018, King joined Matt Edmondson to co-host a radio show for BBC Radio 1. She is also one of the main presenters on British daytime show "This Morning". King is a fan of Britney Spears who she credits for influencing her.
