In a past interview, Pamela has mention that she often would try to manipulate her friends and enemies alike during school, even at a young age, around elementary school. Pamela notes that such devious things happens quite often in the high school years and beyond, she was doing it in grade school. She found it fun to see if she could get away with setting people up into arguments and manipulating certain classmates into disliking one another after she help create the false scenarios that would be the base to her manipulations. Pamela has said she never meant any harm to it, and nobody ever got into trouble or in any serious fights, but she admitted to liking the power she had with her skills. Pamela jokes that is after all how she got her current husband, jokingly mentioning her skills at deceiving people.

His debut role in a movie was the role of a teenage father named Ricky Baker in the 1991 film entitled Boyz n the Hood. Two years after starring in the Boyz n the Hood, Morris Chestnut was a leading character in the 1993 film entitled The Ernest Green Story. He mostly starred in action movies and romantic comedies such as G.I. Jane, Half Past Dead, The Best Man and many other movies. Pamela has mentioned her love of her husbands passion, and his drive to try out new things with an energy that she hopes will never go away. Pam has said that he has more energy in some aspects of life that are at a level she will never understand, but loves the fact that Morris thrives on it and it constantly shows through in almost everything he does. She has mentioned that they plan to have a long relationship because what they have now is near to a perfect and happy family life. Her personal advice to couples is to always stay in communication with each other and talk as much as possible.
