This marked a historic moment, as she became the first African-American woman to be featured in the lead role of the franchise. Her season was also praised for featuring one of the most diverse casts in the show’s history.

For several years, they were considered one of the most successful couples to emerge from the franchise. However, in early 2024, Abasolo filed for divorce, citing irreconcilable differences, and confirmed their separation publicly.
Following her reality TV experience, Lindsay returned to her legal profession while also expanding her presence in media. She co-hosted the popular podcast “Higher Learning” and worked as a correspondent for "Extra," where she conducted high-profile interviews and contributed to feature stories.
