She attended the University of Texas at Austin, where she earned a Bachelor's degree in kinesiology and sports management. Following her undergraduate studies, Lindsay pursued a Juris Doctor at Marquette University Law School in Milwaukee, Wisconsin.

Before rising to national prominence, Rachel Lindsay gained experience in both politics and sports. She worked as a legislative intern for Texas State Senator Royce West and also interned with the Milwaukee Bucks, an NBA franchise. After graduating from law school, she joined the Texas-based law firm Cooper & Scully, P.C., where she specialized in insurance law and civil litigation.
Rise to Fame Through “The Bachelor”
Lindsay gained widespread recognition after appearing as a contestant on season 21 of ABC’s reality series "The Bachelor," starring Nick Viall. She quickly became a fan favorite, receiving the coveted first impression rose on the very first night. Rachel ultimately finished in third place, with Nick choosing Vanessa Grimaldi as the season’s winner.

On February 13, 2017, while still a contestant on "The Bachelor," Rachel Lindsay was announced as the lead for season 13 of "The Bachelorette." This marked a historic moment, as she became the first African-American woman to be featured in the lead role of the franchise.
