Rachelle Wilkos was born on January 11, 1971 in the state of Michigan. The beautiful and sensational Rachel is known for being an American television producer. She is also the wife of famous American Television personality and security guard, Steve Wilkos. She started her career as senior producer for television. As a senior producer, her most known credits are The Jerry Springer Show and The Steve Wilkos Show.
Early years
Rachelle is the daughter of a woman who was a famous hair dresser for kids. Rachelle’s mother had a giving heart when it came to children. She always wanted to help the less fortunate children who did not have the same chances and opportunities as other children. Rachelle’s mother extended the same love that she gave to Rachelle to other children as if they were her own kids. Rachelle’s mother became the founder of a charitable organization called Wigs 4 Kids. The company provides wigs for children who suffer from a condition called Carcinomas and other hair loss conditions. Rachelle’s mother understood how hard and embarrassing it could be for children to grow up bald among their peers. She knew that there would be a lot of nasty teasing and hurt feelings for the children. She wanted to ease their pain by providing a way to cover up their condition. Even though it wasn’t real hair, it was at least a shield from bullying and a source of comfort for the children.
In 1989, Rachelle graduated from Lake Shore High School. The school was located in Rachelle’s birthplace. Rachelle did not move around much in her early years. Staying in one location allowed her to develop roots and friendships for the rest of her life. She was able to develop a strong personality because of the positive spirit that her mom always had around the house.
Rachelle attended Wayne State University with a major in Journalism. Her major choice would not be directly related to her future career but it would give her a preview into the world of production. Instead of writing about subjects like her major intended, she would instead be the creator and producer.
Marital life
Rachelle Wilkos is a happily married woman. She lives with her big brute husband Steve and her two adorable children. Rachelle feels extremely safe in the arms of Steve because he has seen it all. There is nothing in the world that Steve would not be able to protect Rachelle from. It makes sense that Rachelle would end up with a man like Steve because of the way her mother raised her. Her mother was a nurturer and her husband is a protector.
They have a daughter named Ruby and a son named Jack. The loving and happy family live a comfortable life in Connecticut.
Career
Rachelle started her entertainment career as an intern in 1994. Her start was on a local morning show called Company. It was a good experience for Rachelle to get used to how people did things behind the scenes in the television industry. She did well enough to be promoted to associate producer.

Rachelle got her first big break when she was offered the position of senior producer for The Jerry Springer Show. Rachelle felt it was a huge opportunity and a job that she could not pass up. She notified her previous employer that she was going to leave and move on to the next chapter of her life.
The Jerry Springer Show
The Jerry Springer Show was a cultural phenomenon that lasted 25 seasons. The show was hosted by the famous Jerry Springer. The show‘s first season was aired in 1991. It started out as a regular daytime talk show where Jerry would bring on regular people to talk about various subjects. There was a turn on the show that made it a huge hit but no one knows if the change in tone was due to Rachelle herself or a group of people. The show started to coach the participants into saying controversial things and blurring the lines between fiction and reality. The outcome was many episodes where people would end up fighting and screaming at each other. The in studio crowd and audience at home loved the chaos. The show became synonymous with “white trash” and fans loved chanting “Jerry! Jerry! Jerry!” when mayhem would break out.
The Steve Wilkos Show
Rachelle Wilkos is went on to become the executive producer for her husband’s show The Steve Wilkos Show after The Jerry Springer Show. The two had met and fell in love while they both worked for Jerry Springer. While Rachelle worked behind the scenes, Steve had an on screen role as Jerry’s bodyguard. He often had to escort the participants out of the stage when they got too wild. Steve had a great time on The Jerry Springer Show because it allowed him to flex his enforcer muscles. He had a previous background in security that made him a great fit on the show. You could sometimes see him break a smile when he was doing his job because he knew that there wasn’t ever serious danger. The worst that could happen to him would be a scratch in the face. It was much safer than the previous things he had to deal with before he became a TV star. In his past, he would have to worry about guns and robberies. In his TV career, all he had to do was make sure that cheating lovers wouldn’t damage the stage decoration.
The Steve Wilkos show had the same type of format as The Jerry Springer Show. It lasted a long time but did not get the same type of mainstream attention like its inspiration did. The American television audience was growing tired of the same formula. There were more reality TV programs coming out that were of much higher quality. The Jerry Springer Show benefited from airing in a time period where reality TV was in its early stages. By the time The Steve Wilkos show was airing, there was too much saturation in the reality TV market.
