Richard Kevin “Rick” Harrison is a businessman and the owner of the Gold and Silver Pawn shop in Las Vegas, Nevada. Harrison became famous after starring in the reality TV series, Pawn Star. He got married to a woman named Kim in 1982 but was divorced from her in 1985. In 1986, he married his second wife; a woman named Tracy, but was divorced from her in 2012. Harrison is currently living with Deanna Burditt, whom he married in 2013. Deanna’s former husband was a sexual deviant who was arrested for harming a minor and sexual abuse. He pleaded guilty and was released on parole. It has been said that Rick is tense about Richard, his wife’s ex-husband, being free to roam the city.
Kim was his high school sweetheart and they got married when Rick was 17. In the same year, he fathered his first son, Corey. After two years, the couple divorced and Richard quickly married Tracy. He married her when he was 20 after already fathering two sons from the previous marriage. After his second divorce, Rick dated Deanna for a year. Rick proposed to Deanna in 2013 on Valentine’s Day and they got married later that same year. Rick talks a lot about Deanna, a bit of a switch, because he has never talked about his previous personal relationships and why they did not last long.
Rick has never talked about the reasons for the separations and there have been no reports about them either. Neither of his two ex-wives talked to the media about the real reason for the separations. Also, there are no details as to whether or not Tracy was his girlfriend before his separation from Kim. Therefore it remains unclear as to whether or not adultery was the reason. It is certain, however, that Rick did not have an affair with Deanna while he was married to Tracy as there is a definite time gap between his separation from Tracy and him meeting Deanna.
Deanna said that Rick did not actually propose to her, but rather, simply told her that he was going to marry her. Deanna has said that this type of confidence was what she wanted in a boyfriend. Deanna has also been divorced twice and has three children from her previous marriages. Rick has three sons and she has three daughters so together they have a large blended family. As of now, there are no known fights or arguments between them and they are known as having a stable relationship so one can expect them not to turn towards separation in the near future.
Sources near to Harrison state that he is very protective of his wife and is haunted by the fact that her ex-spouse who assaulted her is not behind bars. Harrison said that he would soon make sure that his wife’s ex-husband is arrested.
It is said that Rick did not get a pre-nuptial agreement with Deanna. The previous separation settlement details are not known, however, according to the state law, he would have to share all the profits he gained while he was married to each of his ex-wives. There is no definite evidence that he did not sign a pre-nuptial agreement, however, a source near to him said that he might wish he had a pre-nuptial agreement, in case he ends the relationship. Rick did not comment on this rumor.

From the age of eight Richard has suffered from epilepsy, a condition that, at times, confined him to his bed and, in the process, helped Richard to develop a love of reading. Physics and history were his favorite reads, but Richard was also particularly intrigued by the series of books written by John Fitzgerald. Even though he had this immense love for reading, Richard did not attain a college education. Richard actually dropped out of Taft Middle school during the tenth grade and endeavored to sell luxury bags that were presupposed to be fakes. From this rather shady business, Richard earned a whopping $2,000 a week.
Career
With his great ability to conjure up money Richard, in 1989, while he was still in his twenties, decided to team up with his dad and open a pawn shop close to the Las Vegas Strip. The business started off slow, but almost two decades later, it boomed, and by 2005, Richard’s business was making record interest income of close to $700,000per year from the loaning out of funds. On the History Channel series, Pawn Stars, Richard has earned several aliases; one of these is “The Spotter” which came about because of his keen eye when it comes to identifying valuable items. Another of Richard’s other alias is “The Old Man,” a tag earned this from his age.
Richard’s bookworm attributes resulted in him writing and publishing a biography in 2011. Richard’s biography was titled License to Pawn: Steals and My Life at the Gold & Silver and it reached a rank of #22 on The New York Times Best Seller. When it comes to television, Richard has made numerous appearances on screen as both an actor and a reality star. Among the appearances Richard has made are: Blood Sweat and Heels, The Middle, The Story of the US, Rachael Ray, and iCarly, to name a few.
Social media was once cruel to the lauded reality TV personality as there were rumors making the rounds stating that Richard had died in 2016. The news was initially propagated by a Facebook page called RIP Old Man Harrison. The History Channel, as well as family and friends never came out to make any announcement regarding Richard’s demise which, of course, rendered the news as fake.
Net Worth
For his participation in the Pawn Star show, Richard, according to sources, is estimated to earn not less than $15,000 per episode. Given that a season airs 25-50 episodes, it is estimated that Richard garners a salary of close to $500,000 per year from the show. When you include his other ventures and the many years he has been in the industry, Richard is estimated to have a net worth of $8 million.
