Ronald N. Perlman is an American actor widely famous and acclaimed for his role in the older version of the show, The Beauty and the beast which earned him the honor of winning a Golden Globe award. His major roles in movies have been as the often-hated character Hell Boy in both the parts of the movie named after its protagonist. Ron’s personal life, just like his profession life has been a smooth ride so far and the actor has been in a union of marriage for the last 34 years with designer Opal Stone and has two kids.
Ron got married, even before starting a proper career to fashion designer Opal Stone. At a time, when actors restrained from being in a relationship readily, he got married at the age of 30, in 1981. His first date with wife Opal Stone Perlman is unknown, given that Ron wasn’t a star back then and it was only in the mid 1980s that he started getting known for his work. After dating for around two years and knowing each other, the couple did the formalities to be lawfully wedded on February 14th in 1981, which was also Valentine’s Day incidentally.
Ronald first shot to fame portraying the character of the half-lion and half-human Vincent in the cult show The Beauty and the beast that started in 1987 and went on, till viewers got bored with the same and was eventually discontinued in 1990. At the time, when it started Ron was already married and also the father of daughter Blake Amanda who was born, 3 years after his union with Opal but the showcasing of Ron along with actress Linda Hamilton, sparked rumors of a supposed affair between the two. Media was rife and given the popularity of the show in those times, it was very difficult to brush them off. After the show ended and both were parted from their on-screen personas, the rumors faded away as well.
Despite the link-ups and news of Ron getting into a scandal or the other with his co-stars, the relationship between his spouse and him never really took a beating. They seemed to be going really well and the birth of a son in 1990 who was subsequently named Bradley Avery, confirmed things. Some news channels even reported that the couple had not even been bothered by rumors and the birth of Bradley and Ron’s happy statements that followed was a clear indication that they hadn’t been affected with the reported scandal.
Ronald’s grumpy voice earned him quite a few roles as voice actors before he got his next big role in the movie Hell Boy and subsequently, Hell Boy II, that again started a string of rumors regarding him and his on-screen romance Selma Blair and their chemistry throughout the being highly eye-catching, attracted quite a bit of attention from various sides of the media. These rumors too, were soon brushed off soon after Selma started dating someone.
