Rumiko Takahashi is known as one of the wealthiest ladies in Japan. The manga she makes (and its anime adaptations) are extremely famous in the United States and Europe where they have been presented as both manga and anime in English translation. Her works are generally well known around the world, and a significant number of her series were a part of the early entries of English language manga that were popular in the nineties.
