Rumiko Takahashi is known as one of the wealthiest ladies in Japan. The manga she makes (and its anime adaptations) are extremely famous in the United States and Europe where they have been presented as both manga and anime in English translation. Takahashi's professional career started in 1978. Her first distributed story was Those Selfish Aliens, a comedic sci-fi story.
