Amanda Carpenter was born on November 20, 1982. She experienced her childhood days in Montrose, Michigan. After moving on from Ball State University with a Bachelor’s Degree in Communication Studies in 2005, she decided to pursue her career as a writer.

Career

Amanda was employed as a congressional journalist for Human Events from 2005 to 2007 and preceding onwards to Townhall.com to wind up as its national political reporter. In March 2009, Carpenter took a position with The Washington Times where she composed an everyday segment called the Hot Button that covered political and social issues as well as other important daily events.

Amanda was a journalist for The Washington Times from 2009 to 2010. In the middle of 2010, Carpenter left The Washington Times and joined Senator Jim DeMint's staff as the senior communications advisor and speechwriter. She has a strong and active Twitter following due to her strong opinions. She consistently shows up as a political commentator on CNN. In January 2013, Carpenter wound up as the senior communications advisor and speechwriter for Senator Ted Cruz.
