Ruth Langsford is an English television presenter, born on March 17, 1960, in Singapore. During her childhood, she lived in five different countries due to her father’s military career, gaining exposure to a variety of cultures by the age of ten.
Langsford began her television career as a presenter at the regional station Television South West in Plymouth, England. She gained national recognition as a regular panelist on ITV’s daytime show Loose Women, where she appeared from 1999 until 2002. Over the years, she has become a familiar face on British television, notably co-hosting ITV’s flagship daytime show This Morning.
In 2010, Langsford made guest appearances on GMTV with Lorraine and participated as a contestant on the celebrity cooking competition Marco’s Kitchen Burnout. Additionally, she has made comedic appearances in television shows including Lemon La Vida Loca (2012), The Keith Lemon Sketch Show (2015), and Langsford Late (1999).
Since March 2018, Ruth Langsford has co-presented the consumer advice and human-interest series Do the Right Thing alongside her husband, Eamonn Holmes, on Channel 5. The show focuses on social justice issues and consumer rights, expanding Langsford’s television repertoire beyond lifestyle and entertainment.
Langsford and Holmes were in a long-term relationship for thirteen years before marrying in June 2010. They have one son together, Jack Alexander Holmes. The family resides in Weybridge, Surrey, England.
