Sal Vulcano is a 40 years old American with Italian, Cuban, and Puerto Rican descent. Born in November 6, 1976 he was raised in New York City, borough of Staten Island. He was named “Salvatore Edward Anthony Vulcano”, but now he is better known as “Sal Vulcano”. He has three sisters, Kelly Ann, the eldest, and Dana and Jenna, his two younger sisters. Sal Vulcano is an actor, producer and improvisational and stand-up comedian. He attended “Monsignor Farrell High School” in Staten Island where he played various sports, including hockey, basketball, and football. He graduated from the same High School in 1994, and then he enrolled in “St. John’s University”, where he completed his studies in the financial field in 1998. He worked as a pizza delivery guy for a brief time before getting a job as a bartender at The Full Cup, a bar-pizzeria he then co-owned in 2010.
Sal Vulcano has been performing as a comedian since the late 90’s: passionate about stand-up comedy, he frequently did and does solo tours around the US, where he includes other comedians like Chris DiStefano, Godfrey and Big Jay Oakerson.
Sal was one of the four founding members of the “Tenderloins”, a comedy troupe that has been formed in 1991. The other members of the group were Joe Gatto, James Murray and Mike Boccio, later replaced by Brian Quinn. The members of the initial group got to meet each other during the freshman year at Monsignor Farrell High School: they were interested in drama and improvisation, so they joined an improvisation club.
The Tenderloins performed in New York, Los Angeles, and Chicago. They also participated in many festivals, like the San Francisco Sketch Comedy Festival and the Miami Improv Festival. Their sketches became famous on YouTube, and in 2008 they signed to develop a scripted comedy for Spike TV. After that the Tenderloins started starring in a popular TV series, the “Impractical Jokers”. This TV series is about four friends who always puts each other in absurd, funny situations, coercing one another to constantly do pranks in public while being filmed by a camera. For example, Sal faced punishment in an episode of Impractical Jokers: he was strapped, and he had to watch his sister getting officially married to James Murray, who happens to be his co-star. Sal is also germ phobic: another of his punishments has been to get really dirty, and seeing his reaction has been really hilarious. The show premiered on 15th December 2011, and it’s really loved by people for the huge entertainment it provides. It has also a spin-off called “Jokers Wild”.
Sal and Q (Brian Quinn) started hosting a podcast in April 2012, whose name is “What Say You?”. This podcast became very much popular, and later on it has been named the “Best New Show” at the “Stitcher Awards” in 2013. The podcast also got nominated for the best produced podcast, comedy and entertainment at the “Annual Podcast Awards” in the year 2015.
At present Sal has a net worth of four hundred thousand dollars. His bio speaks of his talents. He and with his troupe won the grand prize of NBC’s It’s Your Show worth hundred thousand dollars hosted by Carson Daly.

Sal is very successful and despite having this much success, he prefers to be unnoticed in real life. He is really secretive about his love life, and he keeps a low profile on the media: in fact, we don’t have any information regarding his married life, wife or spouse (even though some sources confirmed that he doesn’t have any spouse, we still have no idea about the existence of a girlfriend or a wife). Despite of being so secretive in his private life, he is very active in social medias like Twitter and Instagram, where he shares some moments of his private life, and where he’s been followed by thousands of followers.
His social activity allowed us to get to know that he has the lyrics of a song tattooed on his arm in honor of one of his friends that he has unfortunately lost. But he also has a tattoo of Jaden Smith on his thigh as the result of a punishment. Another info about Sal is that he has been hit by a car when he was 4 years old. He also had a friend whose cat kept attacking him, so he began fearing cats.
Sal is the Joker with most punishments, and among them, there are some really memorable!
During Season 1 there has been an episode, named “Pay It Forward”, in which Sal had to hold dog poop in his hand in the park for 20 seconds (gross!)
During Season 2 there has been another episode, named “Elephant in the Room”, in which Sal had to dig through elephant poop to find his keys (very gross even this, and let’s not forget his germ phobia!).
A very funny punishment has been, always during Season 2, the one named “Sound EffeXXX”, in which Sal had to sit in a cafe and broadcast sex sounds on his laptop… Hilarious!!!
One of the worst punishments for him has surely been the one named “Scared Cat”: always during the Season 2, Sal had to step in a cage full of cats, due to his fear of cats.
The other Jokers took advantage of Sal’s phobias even in the punishments named “Down in the Dump”, always during Season 2 (this season has been harsh for him!) in which Sal had to dig for his new cellphone in a pile of trash on a freighter departing out to sea.
One of the last punishments during Season 2 has been the one named “Sorry for Your Loss”, in which Sal had to perform acts of rudeness to people without being allowed to apologize for it (this has been risky, he almost got seriously beaten…)
Two of the funniest punishments of the third season have been the one named “Toasted”, in which Sal went to a wedding and gave a toast (that the others wrote for him) about a couple he didn't even know, and the punishment named “Snow Way Out”, in which Sal and Murr were stuck on a ski-lift and had snowballs thrown and paintballs shot at them by the other jokers :)
