Big Role With NCIS
Sean is best known for his role in NCIS. The crime show has been the No. 1 drama on TV for almost a decade. In the United States and around the world, the show is in constant syndication and has aired over 300 episodes.
The good times have certainly lasted for the group of friends who launched the flagship NCIS series in September 2003. Originally an NCIS agent assigned to the naval base in Norfolk, Virginia, Sean’s character Agent McGee turned up one season with a face mask as he stood watch on a decomposed body and caught some attitude from boss man Mark Harmon's gritty Jethro Gibbs.

He became a semi-regular helping Gibbs' team with the odd case before joining the main NCIS team for good in September 2004. When fan favorite favorite Michael Weatherly (as Anthony DiNozzo) departed for his own series (Bull), Murray lost a buoyant comic partner but gained promotion to the rank of Senior Field Agent.
Sean told Crime Spree what the experience was like to work with Mark Harmon who also used to be a starting quarterback for the UCLA Bruins, “I first worked with Mark when I was fifteen in a show called Harts Of The West. I was one of the sons and he was a guest star, which was twenty-three years ago. He became one of my closest friends. Now I play his right-hand man. Regarding the football games, when USC plays UCLA he becomes pretty serious about his alma mater. I think there might be one or two Trojans hiding somewhere. It has been known to happen that someone watches the Trojans play the Bruins in the Multiple Threat Assessment Room.”
Even after multiple seasons playing a computer genius, NCIS continues to excite and challenge Murray, “I’ve never gotten bored and I don’t think any of us have,” he explains. “We are always trying to make the show better and keep it interesting. Because of that, it keeps us awake and reaching as opposed to letting things get static.”
Personal Life
Murray is no slacker and not one to just sit back, “I’m incredibly thankful for everything I have,” shares the dad of two who made his acting debut when he was a teenager in the TV movie Backfield in Motion and has been working ever since. “My family means everything to me in the world. So as long as my family is taken care of, I’m a happy guy.”
Sean has been married to his wife, Carrie since 2005 and they have two kids together. Before he entered the family life, Sean liked to live a wild existence, "in my 20s, I visited Vegas quite frequently, and I still like to get out there when the opportunity presents itself," he says. "I love blackjack. But as many times as I've been to Vegas, I've yet to go to a show or a concert. I spent New Year’s Eve '99 there with a group of friends—good times!"
Murray married Carrie James on November 26, 2005. They had their first child, a daughter named Caitlyn Melissa, in 2007. The couple's second child, a son named River, was born in Los Angeles in April 2010.
The couple lives together with their children in Los Angeles and unlike Sean’s parents, the couple pledged to stay together until the end of the time. Sean often uploads pictures of his family on Instagram with the purpose of sharing updates and life memories with his fans. He also tweets his photos on Twitter so that he can reach his fans on all social media platforms.
The annual salary of Sean is not known but his net worth is estimated to be over 8 Million Dollars. Sean reached this spot because of his own hard work and he didn’t inherit any wealth from his family. Most of his income comes from the TV shows that he works on. He has had a very stable income because of his popular show NCIS. He gets royalties from the show when it airs on syndication. He is happy that he does not have to stress out and search for jobs because he has a strong foundation of a show.
