Her father, Eddie Garr, was a vaudeville performer, comedian, and actor, while her mother, Phyllis Lind Garr, was a dancer. She is the youngest of three children, with two older brothers. She graduated from North Hollywood High School and later attended California State University, Northridge.</p>
