Zoe McLellan is an American television actress born on November 6, 1974, in La Jolla, California. Although born in California, she was raised in Washington state. McLellan graduated from South Kitsap High School in Port Orchard, Washington, in 1992.
McLellan began pursuing an acting career in the mid-1990s. Her early television appearances included roles on popular series such as Sliders, Diagnosis: Murder, and Star Trek: Voyager. These guest roles helped her establish a presence in the television industry during the late 1990s.
In 2000, McLellan made her feature film debut in the fantasy adventure movie Dungeons & Dragons, marking a significant step in her transition to larger roles. That same year, she joined the cast of the CBS legal drama JAG, portraying Navy Petty Officer Jennifer Coates. Her performance earned her recurring appearances, and she remained part of the series until its conclusion in 2005.
Following the end of JAG, McLellan was cast as Lisa George in the ABC drama Dirty Sexy Money. The show, which blended elements of comedy and soap opera, ran for two seasons from 2007 to 2009. McLellan later returned to CBS, this time joining the cast of NCIS: New Orleans as Special Agent Meredith Brody during the show's first two seasons from 2014 to 2016.
In 2017, McLellan became a series regular on the second season of ABC’s political thriller Designated Survivor. She portrayed Kendra Daynes, the White House Counsel, playing a key role in the administration of the fictional U.S. President Tom Kirkman, portrayed by Kiefer Sutherland.
McLellan married actor J.P. Gillain in February 2012. The couple had one son together before divorcing in 2016. Following the separation, McLellan sought custody of their child. As of now, public records and verified sources do not indicate that she is currently married or in a public relationship.
