Ellen’s movie career got the major breakthrough when she acted in the film Juno which earned her acclaim and commercial success, both in insurmountable amounts and she grabbed the opportunities with both hands. In her personal life though, Page has been linked and hooked up with quite a few guys before she opened up about her orientation in public.

Ellen’s first reported boyfriend was Ben Foster and they reportedly met and started dating while shooting for X-Men: The Last Stand which was one of the breakthrough films for Page as well. They supposedly dated somewhere around, in 2006-07 but nothing was really confirmed by any source about them to officially term them as a couple. Although they were seen together frequently for a while, their supposed relation rumors came to a halt as soon as they started appearing together in public.

She was then reportedly dating actor Sam Riley but that was later cleared off as a minor encounter where the two met and interacted through mutual sources where things didn’t quite work out as one would have liked. The rumors were brushed off soon. The next time, she dated; it created headlines in all gossip circles. It was the new entrant into the elite group of Hollywood, ‘Malcolm in the middle’ star Frankie Muniz. Both had reported met after the success of Juno and were supposed to have hit off instantly and developed a certain liking for each other. Some websites and news channels even reported that both had a pre-Oscar breakfast, the one where Ellen was nominated for her film. This affair, too didn’t last long despite the couple being quite active in public events.

In April 2008, her next relation started with former batch mate and Canadian actor Mark Rendall who had been linked with her previously too but this newly found love was something new for the paparazzi as well. They started dating and were soon seen together at various events. This continued till the couple fell out in 2009.

Emile Hirsch and Ellen were considered to be a very cute couple and were hooked up by rumor circles after they had been recently seen at different places, together seemingly like a couple. They kept their relationship quite till eventually falling out somewhere in 2011 when Page gave her fans, the shock of their lives.

She came out of the closet to make her orientation public and started her first same-gender relationship publicly with actress Clea Duvall who has frequently acted as a lesbian in quite a few movies, she has acted in. The couple separated soon after. Since then, Ellen has stated her wish to have a same-gender marriage and one would wish that she doesn’t have an untimely divorce after that!
