Emma Dumont is known as an American actress, model, and dancer. She is most famous for her role as Lorna Dane/Polaris in the FOX superhero TV series, The Gifted.
Career
In the Gifted, the show follows a normal rural family whose lives change course when they find out that their children have super powers. The show is set in a timeline where the X-Men have disappeared. Dumont stars as Polaris, the daughter of famous mutant character Magneto.
Most of Emma’s fans know her from The Gifted but she has also had some other big roles. She starred as Melanie Segal in the ABC Family series Bunheads and as Emma Karn in the NBC series Aquarius.
Personal Life
While acting and the arts are two of Dumont's most prominent passions, she additionally has an enthusiasm for mechanical engineering and PC programming. She is a proud member of Mensa and participated in FIRST Robotics in a group supported by NASA/JPL and Walt Disney Imagineering. Dumont remains energetic about tutoring young people associated with the program. While her present acting plan is demanding of most of her time, Dumont is continuing with her studies and is taking classes in engineering and programming.
Dumont currently lives in Los Angeles with her young dog, Zoe.
