Chad was arrested for domestic battery after a month from the marriage. It was said that Evelyn and her husband were having an argument about the condoms that she found in his room and she filed for a separation immediately. During the domestic argument Chad, head butted his wife and she was taken to the emergency room. After three days, she filed for a separation. Chad was sentenced to one year probation and was in jail for 30 days for slapping his lawyer. The picture of the wound on her head were submitted to the court and the separation was finalized. Later in 2013, she got engaged to Carl, who presented her a ring worth 1.4 million dollars. Carl got engaged to his seven month pregnant girlfriend. Evelyn and Carl are not married, till date and are still engaged. It was stated that Evelyn got 560 thousand dollars from Antonie before he filed for bankruptcy. It was said that Antonie and Evelyn planned to hide the money from the creditors. It was said that Evelyn opened a store with the money. However, Evelyn stated that she used the money to pay bills and sold her engagement ring for starting the store. She said that it was a parting gift from Antonie.
