Fiona Bruce is and English television journalist, newsreader, and presenter who is currently working for the BBC television network. Fiona Bruce was born on April 25, 1964, in Singapore. Fiona’s childhood included education at Gayton Primary School on the Wirral (a peninsula in Northwest England), the International School of Milan, and Haberdashers’ Aske’s Hatcham College in New Cross, London. Fiona read French and Italian at Hertford College, Oxford and attended the University of London Institute in Paris. Fiona joined BBC as a researcher in 1989. She became the first female newsreader on the BBC News at Ten and presents many of their flagship programs including Crimewatch, Real Story, Antiques Roadshow, and Fake or Fortune? In December of 2018 it was announced that Fiona would be the presenter for the topical debate program Question Time.
Fiona Bruce is known as being outspoken on her commitment towards feminism; and was once accused of showing blatant bias towards the issue of domestic violence when interviewing Matt O’Connor, founder of Fathers 4 Justice. Fiona Bruce was married to Nigel Sharrocks, non-executive chairman of Digital Cinema Media, in July of 1994 in Islington. The couple has two children, a son named Sam, and a daughter named Mia.
