Frank Bruni is known as an Opinion writer for The New York Times. He has been working for the popular newspaper since June 2011.

Career

Frank joined the New York Times staff in 1995 and has run his opinions extensively over its pages. He has been both a White House journalist and the chief restaurant critic. As a staff writer for The Times Magazine, he profiled J. J. Abrams and a health who wanted to live to 125.

As the Rome department boss, he watched both Pope John Paul II and Prime Minister Silvio Berlusconi as he documented their lives.

Bruni went to The Times from The Detroit Free Press, where he was, then again, a war journalist, the main film critic and a religion writer. He is the author of three New York Times smash hits. His books include a 2015 examination of the college admissions frenzy, "Where You Go Is Not Who You'll Be". In 2009 he released a memoir called, "Brought into the world Round," about the delights and torments of his eating life. In 2002, he published narrative of George W. Bush’s underlying presidential crusade, "Wandering into History." His first cookbook, "A Meatloaf in Every Oven," was distributed in February 2017 and he co-wrote with his Times associate Jennifer Steinhauer.
