Professional Football Career

Frank began his professional football career with Ajax, one of the most successful clubs in the Netherlands. He played a pivotal role in Ajax's triumphs, including their victory in the UEFA Cup in 1992 and the UEFA Champions League in 1995. Known for his strong defensive skills and leadership, Frank was a vital component of the team's success during the early 1990s.

In 1999, Frank transferred to FC Barcelona for a reported fee of approximately £22 million. Although Barcelona won the La Liga in 1998, de Boer joined the team the following year. After his stint in Spain, he went on to play for Rangers in 2004, and two years later, he announced his retirement from professional football. He also represented the Dutch national team in multiple FIFA World Cup tournaments.
