Freddie Prinze Jr. is an American actor known for his work in the films I Know What You Did Last Summer, and Scooby-Doo. Freddie Prinze Jr. was born Freddie James Prinze on March 8, 1976, in Los Angeles, California; his father was the comedian and actor Freddie Prinze. His father committed suicide when Freddie was ten months old. He was raised by his mother and grandmother. Freddie lived his childhood in Albuquerque, New Mexico and attended three different schools: Eldorado, Sandia, and La Cueva; after graduation, 1n 1994, he moved to Los Angeles to pursue his acting career.
Due in part to his father’s fame, Prinze Jr. was able to immediately get work on several notable television series including the 1995 episode of Family Matters entitled The Gun. Freddie Prinze Jr. was named one of People magazine's 50 Most Beautiful People in 2000. Freddie Prinze Jr. first met Sarah Michelle Gellar on the movie set of I Know What You Did Last Summer. The couple was married on September 1, 2002, in Puerto Vallarta, Jalisco, Mexico. Prinze Jr. and Gellar have two children together, a girl, Charlotte Grace Prinze, born in 2009, and a boy, Rocky James Prinze, born in 2012.
