Freddie Prinze Jr. is an American actor best known for his roles in films such as I Know What You Did Last Summer and the live-action Scooby-Doo movies. He was born as Freddie James Prinze on March 8, 1976, in Los Angeles, California. His father, Freddie Prinze, was a well-known comedian and actor, best recognized for his role in the sitcom Chico and the Man. Tragically, his father died by suicide when Freddie was just ten months old. He was subsequently raised by his mother, Katherine Elaine Cochran, and his grandmother.
