Gemma Atkinson is an English actress and retired glamour model who was born on November 16, 1984, in Bury, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. Atkinson great up in the Greater Manchester and took her GCSEs at Castlebrook High School which located in her hometown of Bury. The former model first rose to fame when she took the role of Lisa Hutner on the soap opera from Channel 4 titled "Hollyoaks". Following the show's conclusion, Atkinson and her fellow co-star appeared in a new spin-off series called "Hollyoaks: Let Loose" which was made for E4.
She has appeared in numerous other television shows since including playing herself in the pilot episode of the show "Plus One", which was part of the "Comedy Showcase" of 2009. In the same year, Atkinson portrayed the girlfriend of a drug dealer named Ria Crossley in the British television series "The Bill". In 2011, Atkinson took a role in the BBC medical drama "Casualty" where she played a paramedic named Tamzin. She appeared on "Casualty" for 10 episodes before leaving the show in 2011, but she briefly returned to the show to play Tamzin in 2014. She has continued to develop her television and film career, but Atkinson also has a talent for theater and has appeared in several stage productions as well including "Peter Pan" at the Manchester Opera House.
