Gemma Atkinson is an English actress and former glamour model, born on November 16, 1984, in Bury, Greater Manchester, United Kingdom. She grew up in Greater Manchester and attended Castlebrook High School in her hometown, where she completed her GCSEs.

Rise to Fame on Hollyoaks

Atkinson gained national recognition for her role as Lisa Hunter on the Channel 4 soap opera Hollyoaks. Her portrayal of the troubled teenager made her a well-known face in British television. Following the success of the main series, she reprised her role in the spin-off Hollyoaks: Let Loose, which aired on E4 and followed Lisa's storyline beyond the original series.

Television Career and Notable Roles

After Hollyoaks, Atkinson continued to expand her acting portfolio. In 2009, she appeared as herself in the pilot episode of Plus One, part of Channel 4's Comedy Showcase. That same year, she played Ria Crossley, the girlfriend of a drug dealer, in the ITV police procedural drama The Bill.

In 2011, Atkinson joined the BBC medical drama Casualty as paramedic Tamzin Bayle. She appeared in 10 episodes during her initial run and returned to reprise the role in 2014. These performances further established her versatility as an actress in both contemporary drama and genre television.
