Giselle Blondet's full name is Alba Giselle Blondet Gómez. Born in 1964 in New York City, she is a Puerto Rican actress and television host. Despite being born in the United States, Blondet was raised and educated in Puerto Rico, embracing her Puerto Rican heritage. Throughout her life and career, she has remained dedicated to the arts and social advocacy, founding the nonprofit organization Fundación Arte por la Paz, which promotes peace through art and culture.

Early Personal Life and Marriages
In 1982, Giselle Blondet married her first husband, jeweler Luis Iglesias. The couple had a daughter named Andrea before divorcing in 1984. In 1986, she married actor Luis Abreu, although the marriage was short-lived and ended within a few months. During the 1980s, Blondet was active in Puerto Rican television, appearing in numerous telenovelas, TV programs, and theatrical productions.
Her third marriage was in 1989 to Argentine producer Harold Trucco. Together, they had two children: a daughter, Gabriella, and a son, Harold Emmanuel. The marriage ended in divorce in 1997. Following the dissolution of her third marriage, Blondet chose to remain single, expressing her desire to dedicate more time to raising her children.
Breakthrough with Univision and 'Despierta América'
That same year, 1997, marked a major turning point in her professional career. Blondet joined Univision as one of the original hosts of the international morning show Despierta América. She co-hosted the program alongside Neida Sandoval, Ana María Canseco, Fernando Arau, and Rafael José, gaining widespread recognition across Spanish-speaking audiences in the United States and Latin America.
In 2004, Blondet released her autobiography, Con los Pies en la Tierra, in which she shared personal and professional experiences. The following year, she stepped away from Despierta América and began hosting Historias para Contar, a real-life drama series. However, the show transitioned into a series of special episodes rather than a long-term series.
