Goldlink is an American rapper who was born on May 17, 1993, in Washington, D.C., in the United States. He was born to a park and recreation worker and his mother who worked as a secretary at a law firm. Goldlink moved to Bowie, Maryland after his parents divorced and then again to Alexandria, Virginia where he graduated from Hayfield Secondary School. His birth name is D'Anthony Carlos but he goes by the stage name Goldlink. He first began making music as a hobby and uploading it to SoundCloud. His breakthrough came in 2014 when he released his debut mixtape "The God Complex" to critical acclaim. Goldlink released his second album "And After That, We Didn't Talk" which featured the hit singles "Dance on Me" and "Spectrum". On March 24, 2017, Goldlink released his first studio album called "At What Cost".
The album featured Grammy-nominated single "Crew" which reached 45 on the US Billboard Hot 100 chart. In 2017, he was in "Red Bull Sound Selects" with artists Kelela, Angel Olsen, Brika, and more. In 2018, he was featured on the song "Like I Do" by Christina Aguilera from her album Liberation. The song went on to earn a Grammy Award nomination for Best Rap/Sung Performance.
