Hanna Alström is a Swedish actress who was born on July 7, 1981, in Stockholm, Sweden. She began acting at the young age of five with her older sister Sara Alström who is also an actress. When she was five, Alström appeared with her sister at Unga Teatern which was directed by Maggie Widstrand. The performance took place at several theaters around Stockholm. Alström had a passion for acting from a very young age and was exceptionally talented. While other young girls were playing, Alström would be hard at work rehearsing. By the time Alström was six, she was cast in Staff Gotestam's play "Gransland" which she performed at Puckteatern and the Grona Lund Theatre. She also appeared at the Royal Dramatic Theatre. Alström went on to attend the Swedish National Academy of Mime and Acting.

She also took studied at Sankt Erik's gymnasium. Alström's big break in the film industry came in 2014 when she was cast as Princess Tilde of Sweden in "Kingsman: The Secret Service". In 2017, Alström appeared as Princess Tilde once again in the sequel film "Kingsman: The Golden Circle". Alström married "Vikings" actor Gustaf Skarsgard in 1999 but the couple divorced six years later in 2005.
