Heidi Watney was born in 1981 and attended Clovis West High School in Fresno, California. During her time there, she was a well-rounded student and athlete, actively participating in cheerleading, gymnastics, diving, and hurdle events. A high achiever academically, she was recognized as a National Merit Scholar. Watney went on to attend the University of San Diego, graduating with honors in 2003 with a degree in communications.
In 2002, Watney competed in the Miss California pageant, finishing as the first runner-up. Beginning in 2013, she became the host of Quick Pitch, a nightly highlight show recapping MLB games and news.
