Iris Bahr is an award-winning American actress, writer, and performer. Although born in New York City, she moved to Israel during her teenage years. During her time in Israel, she served as a sergeant in the Israel Defense Forces. Bahr later returned to the United States to pursue higher education, studying neuropsychology and religious studies at Brown University. She also engaged in neuroscience research at institutions including Stanford University and Tel Aviv University.
Bahr made her film debut in the 2006 comedy "Larry the Cable Guy: Health Inspector." That same year, she premiered her solo performance piece, Dai (Enough), at the Culture Project in New York City. In the show, she portrayed ten diverse characters exploring themes related to the Israeli–Palestinian conflict. The play received critical acclaim and earned multiple awards, including a Lucille Lortel Award.
