Jacob Hollister was born on November 18, 1993. Jacob is the twin brother of Cody Hollister, who is a wide receiver that is also currently playing for the New England Patriots. For his college football career, Jacob played college football at Wyoming.

Career

The New England Patriots signed Jacob Hollister to a three-year, $1.67 million contract on April 30, 2017. His football deal includes $90,000 guaranteed and a signing bonus of $10,000. His twin brother Cody Hollister was an undrafted free agent but the team decided to sign him too. The brothers made history and became the only active pair of twins on the same team in 2017. They also became the third set of twins to currently play in the NFL.

Hollister caught seven passes for 116 yards against the Jacksonville Jaguars in Week 1 of the preseason. It was just an exhibition but it was a good start for Jacob. He put together a solid preseason performance while competing with another tight end, James O'Shaughnessy for the Patriots possible third tight end spot behind star veterans Rob Gronkowski and Dwayne Allen.
