Who is Jaime Ray Newman?
Jaime Ray Newman is an American actress, director, producer, and singer who was born on April 2, 1978, in Farmington Hills, Michigan. She was born to her parents Marsha Jo and Raphael Newman. She grew up with a sister named Beth Nicole and started performing on stage at age eleven. Newman appeared in the debut of Israel Horovitz's play "A Rosen By Any Other Name". She acted with many regional theaters around Detroit as a child. Newman attended the Jewish Hillel Day School of Metropolitan Detroit. She went on to attend the private Cranbrook Kingswood School in Bloomfield Hills, Michigan. Newman also studied at the Interlochen Center for the Arts. When she was just 16, Newman founded Apollo Theatre Productions and was both a producer and director.
Upon graduating from high school in 1996, Newman attended Boston University College of Fine Arts' theater conservatory and Northwestern University where she studied English and Drama. Newman went on to perform in her own jazz quartet and appeared in several short films. Eventually, she was cast as Kristina Cassadine in the soap opera "General Hospital". She also appeared in television shows such as "Red Widow", "Wicked City", and Marvel's "The Punisher". She married writer and director Guy Nattiv in Israel in 2012.
