James White

James White is known as an American football running back for the New England Patriots of the National Football League.

Background

White went to classes at the St. Thomas Aquinas High School in Fort Lauderdale, Florida. While attending the school, he played high school football for the Raiders. He was a focal member of the 2008 St. Thomas Aquinas National Championship team.

At Aquinas, he primarily split position time with Giovani Bernard, who is eventually became a running back for the Cincinnati Bengals. White rushed for over 1,000 yards and over 20 touchdowns in his senior year of high school. His high school football career was capped when he was chosen to the All-County team. White was a multi-talented athlete who also played and lettered in baseball.

Career

White played his college football at Wisconsin. His college career was a success and he was drafted by the Patriots in the fourth round of the 2014 NFL Draft.

In the NFL title game of Super Bowl LI, White scored three touchdowns for his team. His contribution included the game-winning score in overtime. White set historic Super Bowl records for receptions with 14 and points scored with 20 including the first points ever scored in overtime of a Super Bowl game.
