Early Life and Education

Jason Beghe was born on March 12, 1960, in New York City, USA. Standing 5'10¾" (1.8 m) tall, he is recognized for his distinctively deep, gravelly voice. He is the son of Bina House and Renato William Beghe, who served as a U.S. Tax Court judge. Both of his parents passed away in 2012. Jason has three siblings, including Francesca Beghe, a professional singer and composer.

He attended the prestigious Collegiate School in New York, where he formed lasting friendships with David Duchovny and John F. Kennedy Jr. Duchovny would later become a well-known actor, while Kennedy pursued a career in politics and media. Beghe went on to graduate from Pomona College in California in 1982.

Personal Life

Jason Beghe married Angie Janu in 2000, and the couple has two children, Bix and Bear. The couple filed for divorce in 2017, finalizing it in 2020. Despite personal changes, Beghe continues to maintain a strong presence in the entertainment industry.

Involvement with Scientology

Beghe was once a dedicated follower and public advocate of Scientology. He appeared in various promotional materials and actively supported the organization. However, his views changed dramatically after a serious car accident in the late 1990s, which left him with a permanently altered voice. He has since become a vocal critic of Scientology, asserting that his experiences disproved the organization’s claims about spiritual healing.
