Jayma Mays is an American actress and singer who is best known for her portrayal of Emma Pillsbury on the Fox television network's musical series Glee. Jayma Mays was born Jamia Suzette Mays on July 16, 1979, in Bristol, Tennessee. Jayma graduated high school in 1997 and received an associate degree from Southwest Virginia Community College. Jayma made her first television appearance on the show Joey in 2004. Since then, Jayma has accumulated many television credits including Ugly Betty (2007-2008), Drunk History (2007), Glee (2009-2015), The League (2012-2014), Wet Hot American Summer: First Day of Camp (2015), and The Millers (2013-2015).
Jayma was part of the main cast of Glee for the first three seasons, then was made a guest star in seasons four through six. Jayma’s film credits include Epic Movie (2007), Flags of Our Fathers (2006), Get Smart’s Bruce and Lloyd: Out of Control (2008), Paul Blart: Mall Cop (2009), The Smurfs (2011), The Smurfs 2 (2013), Last Weekend (2013), and Larry Gaye: Renegade Male Flight Attendant (2015). Since March 2017 Jayma has been starring as prosecutor Carol Anne Keane in the NBC sitcom Trial & Error. Jayma Mays met her husband, Adam Campbell, on the set of Epic Movie in 2006. In August of 2016, the couple had a son named Jude Jones.
