Jennifer Christina Finnigan was born in Montreal, Quebec, to Jack Finnigan and Diane Rioux Finnigan. Her father, Jack Finnigan, was a well-known radio personality, working at Montreal’s CJAD radio station from 1972 until 2005. Jennifer attended the all-girls Sacred Heart School of Montreal and graduated in 1996.
Jennifer Finnigan gained widespread recognition for her portrayal of Bridget Forrester in the long-running American soap opera The Bold and the Beautiful. Airing on CBS, her performance earned critical acclaim and marked a significant turning point in her acting career. Her role in the series earned her three consecutive Daytime Emmy Awards for Outstanding Younger Actress in a Drama Series in 2002, 2003, and 2004—making her the only actress to win this category three times in a row.
After her success in daytime television, Finnigan continued to appear in primetime series. She played the role of Annabeth Chase in CBS’s legal drama Close to Home, which aired from 2005 to 2007. She later starred as Maddie Putney in the ABC sitcom Better with You, which ran during the 2010–2011 season. These roles demonstrated her versatility across genres, from drama to comedy.
