Jeremy Hunt is a British Conservative Party politician who was born on November 1, 1966, in Kennington, London, in the United Kingdom to Admiral Sir Nicholas Hunt and his wife Meriel Eve. Hunt was raised in Shere, Surrey and attended school at Charterhouse School before going on to graduate with a first class honors Bachelor of Arts degree from Magdalen College, Oxford where he studied Philosophy, Politics, and Economics. Hunt was active in Conservative politics during his time in university. He was even elected to serve as President of the Oxford University Conservative Association in 1987. Following his graduation, Hunt went on to work as a management consultant at OC&C Strategy Consultants. He then went on to become an English language teacher in Japan.
Hunt has had many business ventures through the years and even co-founded a public relations company named Profile PR that specialized in IT but he would eventually sell his share of the company. Hunt was elected into Parliament during the 2005 general election. In 2012, Hunt was appointed Health Secretary which drew both negative and positive attention. Hunt first met and married his wife Lucia Guo who is from China when she was working t Warwick University in 2008. They had a son and two daughters after they married in 2009.
