Josh Turner

Josh "Josh" Otis Turner was born on November 20, 1977 in Hannah, South Carolina. He was raised in Nashville, Tennessee. He has a brother and sister. He is a very religious person and in fact was raised in church. He was interested in gospel music since he was a kid. He was involved in the church choir, where he sings the bass and baritone parts.

In the 1996 he broke his vocal cord have to rest his voice for a year without any surgery. After his primary education, he enrolled to the Francis Marion University. Later he moved to Nashville, Tennessee to pursue a music career. Here, Josh decided to attend the Belmont University.

He made his first appearance with his own song “Long Black Train” on the Grand Ole Opry in the 2001. In the 2003, he released his first album, which was same titled Long Black Train. This album reached Billboard country charts, where it was for a month.

His second album “Your Man” was released in the beginning of the 2006. The same titled single was certified Gold by the RIAA about 4 weeks in line after release, it’s even reached to the Platinum status. Another single, “Would You Go, with Me” was successful too, and becomes a number48 on the Billboard Hot 100.

He also was awarded by the Best Male Country Vocal Performance position as well as for the Best Country Album. Later he released his live album “Josh Turner: Live At The Ryman ”, which was available for Cracker Barrel restaurants. One of the popular song is “Say Yes”, which was written by him along with Brett James and Don Schlitz.

In the 2007, Josh was invited to the radio show Grand Ole Opry. The third studio album “Everything Is Fine” was released the same year 2007 with the hits “Another Try” and “Firecracker”. Three years after he showed his new album “Haywire”. It was very successful thanks to his very popular song “Why Don't We Just Dance”.

His another single and official music video “I Wouldn't Be a Man” was released on September 27, 2010. Afterwards, he worked hard in Nashville on his fifth studio album and I finally released in the 2012. It was titled “Punching Bag”

In the 2008 he appeared in the biographical movie “Billy: The Early Years”, where he played the role of George Beverly Shea.

He is a married man. His wife is Jennifer Ford, they exchanged their vows with each other in the 2003. They definitely have seen most of what marriage has to offer. The couple met at Belmont University, where they both attended school at the same time.

Jennifer is a musician too, she usually plays keyboards and singing background vocals on tour. They are blessed with four sons, which were named Hampton, Colby, Marion, and Samuel. He never opened up a lot about his personal life in the reality show and public events. His total net worth is not disclosed by any source.
