Phillips met Mario Milostic, an Australian graphic designer in 2002, at a cafe. Six weeks later, Milostic proposed to her and they got married. The couples were blessed with a boy kid in the year 2003 and they named him Marcus and in the year 2006, they were blessed with a girl kid and named her Mischa. Later in the year 2009, Juanita took a break from her ABC career for taking care of her kids while her partner Milostic moved for bowel cancer rehabilitation.
