He started going to a nearby school in Alabama called Foley High School. He was soon selected by the football coach at his school to play as a wide receiver for the team. He enrolled into Crimson Tide for his higher education. He was soon selected by his coach to play in the college football team making him only one freshman player in the team. He was also added to the team of the year at the college level. In the senior year, he was a regular on the team and was also made the captain on many occasions. His college career stats prove how well he has played throughout the years. In three years he received 179 passes for a total of 2653 yards.
His professional career started in 2011 when he was signed by the Indianapolis Colts. He started to play as a wide receiver for the team in his rookie year. In the next year, his form was back and he made a total of 79 passes for 1198 yards. He also did 10 touchdowns in the season. 2013 wasn't a good season for him as he was out of the game in the early season due to a foot injury.
In 2014 Atlanta falcons gave him a contract offer for 5 years that he signed. This made his salary among the best in the field. He started to play well for the team as he did 136 receptions in 2015.
In 2016 it was a good year for him as he led the team to the Super Bowl final. His team however lost in the final but he was praised for his performance in the game. He has been a regular in the fantasy league that is played among the viewers.
