Kim Kardashian was born on October 21, 1980, in Los Angeles, California, to Robert and Kris Kardashian. She has three siblings—Kourtney, Khloé, and Robert Jr. Her mother, Kris Jenner, is of Dutch descent with Scottish, English, and Irish ancestry. Kim’s parents divorced in 1991. She attended Marymount High School, a Roman Catholic all-girls school in Los Angeles.

Early Relationships and Public Attention
In 2000, at the age of 19, Kim Kardashian eloped with music producer Damon Thomas. The marriage ended in 2004 after Damon filed for divorce. Rise to Fame and Media Exposure
In 2007, a private tape featuring Kim and Ray J, recorded in 2003, was leaked and distributed by Vivid Entertainment under the title “Kim K Superstar.” Kim filed a lawsuit against the company and ultimately settled for a reported $5 million. Later that year, she posed nude for the December issue of Playboy magazine, which further amplified her public profile.
Kim ventured into acting with a debut in the 2008 film Disaster Movie. That same year, she participated in Season 7 of Dancing with the Stars, partnered with professional dancer Mark Ballas.
