Keneti James Fitzgerald "KJ" Apa was born on June 17, 1997, in Auckland, New Zealand. He is the son of Keneti Apa, a Samoan who holds a chiefly title in Samoa, and Tessa Apa, a European New Zealander. He grew up alongside two older sisters.
Apa attended King’s College, a prestigious secondary school in Auckland, before pursuing a professional career in acting.
Acting Career
Before gaining international fame, Apa began his acting journey with a role on the long-running New Zealand soap opera Shortland Street, portraying Kane Jenkins from 2013 to 2015.
