Kyle Chandler

Talented TV and film actor Kyle Martin Chandler was born on September 17, 1965 in Buffalo, New York. He was the youngest child in the family, and he had three siblings, and he loved them very much.

His parents were his father Edward Chandler (seller of pharmaceutical products) and him mother Sally Chandler (dog breeder). During his childhood, he had to move several times with his family. At first they moved from Buffalo, New York to Chicago, Illinois then to Lake Forest, Illinois and then to Loganville, Georgia, where they settled down and bought a farm.

From his youth, he helped his parents with rising the dogs (basically they grew Great Dane - large German breed). He attended George Walton Academy in Monroe and graduated from it in 1983. After Academy, he entered to University of Georgia. In the University, he attended drama classes, and since that time, he realized that he should develop his talent as an actor. In 1988, he quit the University after he received an invitation from ABC to join their new talent program.

On ABC, Kyle obtained basic skills and knowledge, his teacher was a director and producer Milton Katselas. From 1988 to 1990, he participated in TV series on minor roles (Quiet Victory: The Charlie Wedemeyer Story (1988), Unconquered (1989), Hallmark Hall of Fame (1989), China Beach (1989), Freddy's Nightmares (1989). Chandler’s first noticeable appearance on TV was in drama television series Tour of Duty, aired in NBC from September 1987 to April 1990 (58 episodes).

After Tour of Duty Kyle Chandler increased his popularity very much, and his roles became more interesting and major. In 1992 was his debut in film industry with a secondary role of Buddy Jackson in dramatic musical western film Pure Country. His first regular role was in 1991 in television drama series Homefront where he played the main character Jeff Metcalf. He has played in that series for three years (48 episodes).

Then followed many different roles in movies and TV series, namely Mulholland Falls (1996), Angel's Dance (1999), King Kong (2005), North and South Book III: Heaven and Hell (1994). He also had two regular roles, this time in CBC television drama series Early Edition (90 episodes) and sitcom “What About Joan?”, aired on ABC in 2000.

The most famous part of Kyle Chandler was the role of Eric Taylor in drama television series Friday Night Lights. This series has lasted from 2006 to 2011, and for this role, Kyle won the Primetime Emmy Award in the category of Outstanding Lead Actor in a Drama Series. On the ceremony, he said a beautiful emmy speech, and then he commented this speech in his interview to the press.

One of the most recent roles of Kyle Chandler was the role of John Rayburn in Netflix thriller-drama Bloodline. The series began on February 9, 2015 and still airs on Netflix.
