Career at CNN

Later in 2005, Lah joined CNN Newsource. In 2007, she was appointed as CNN's correspondent based in Tokyo, where she covered news across Asia. In 2012, she moved back to the United States to work from CNN’s Los Angeles bureau. Throughout her career at CNN, Kyung Lah has reported on numerous high-profile stories. She covered the disappearance of Malaysia Airlines Flight MH370, the crash of Flight MH17, and the Newtown school shooting. Additionally, she reported on the Asiana Airlines crash at San Francisco International Airport, the LAX shooting incident, and the historic floods and mudslides in Colorado.
