Lamar N. Miller was born on April 25, 1991 in Miami, Florida. He went to Miami Killian Senior High School in Miami, Florida where his football propensity started to reflect. After his high school days, he proceeded to the University of Miami. He would have started out with the University of Florida football crew, however because of his desire to be closer to home, he picked the University of Miami where he was born and raised.
